5 important copyright-related questions for webinar lecturers in connection with the online provision of course materials.

Lecturers and trainers were faced with a variety of pedagogical and technical challenges when they suddenly had to switch from personal training to online courses. In addition, copyright issues have arisen in connection with the course material and its provision to students.

We have compiled the following five important questions, which we will answer in our online event to raise awareness of copyright issues related to course material in a virtual setting:

  1. What do I have to consider when using photos, texts, music, videos etc. in my course material?
  2. Is it allowed to cite other works?
  3. May I edit other works?
  4. Can I provide a link to another website or can I use contents from another website as PDF documents as part of my course materials?
  5. May scientific articles or books be made available to students on learning platforms in preparation for a course?
