Personal User Manuals and Team Agreements promote transparency and set clear expectations in collaboration. They create a basis for effective communication and mutual understanding, which leads to a more productive and harmonious work environment.
Here’s a practical approach: Start by encouraging team members to create their own Personal User Manuals—short guides reflecting on their work preferences, values, and communication styles. Once completed, team members can share these with each other to deepen mutual understanding.
Then, in a team meeting, collaborate on creating or updating your Team Agreement.

Management 3.0’s Moving Motivators are ten motivational factors that drive people in their work.
They can be used in one-on-one meetings to identify employees’ motivators and increase their job satisfaction.
In team workshops, Moving Motivators help to create a common understanding of the different needs and motivations of team members and thus improve collaboration. Managers can also use the insights from the Moving Motivators to design tasks and projects so that they better fit the individual motivation profiles of their employees.
