Why applied research in Organisational Behaviour/HRM

is important to me?

Through applied research I aim at identifying challenges and (in the best case 😉) finding a solution for immediate problems organisations are facing. This is very important to me, as I consider evidence based HRM as one of the cornerstones of an organisation.

In short, evidence based HRM refers to the process in which the organization evaluates any decision or process against data, real experience, expert opinions, and/or other types of information to ensure the decision is likely to have the desired outcome. Evidence-based management reduces errors in judgement. An evidence-based approach to management reduces the potential for irrational thinking, bias, or exhaustion to negatively impact management decisions.
